Like what you did there Maurice !
And seriously I do have to agree with malvyn - Sound of Music is just a little too cheesy for me !

Another fave I could watch time and again is the 1975 movie 'Shampoo', starring dishy Warren Beatty and the lovely Julie Christie.

Who can forget the scene, when, at some black tie dinner, Julie Christie is bet by a friend to duck under the dining table and give Warren Beatty a blow job! I'd love to think that the ultra-professional trouper Miss Christie 'did it for real'!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins.

I love both films and although maybe not considered cool, I don't care

The World's Fastest Indian and Wildhogs are also in my top 5 to add some "cool" to my list....

This took some thinking, but I managed to nail down my top 5 movies of all time for me.

1. The Great Escape : Classic film, gripping story and characters, full of drama, comedy, action
2. Wallace & Gromit, The Wrong Trousers : A staple of my childhood, always entertaining, never fails.
3. Star Wars (The Original Trilogy) : I am a big sci-fi guy, big big nerd, I love all the Star Wars films, but the original trilogy will always have a special place in my heart.
4. Love Actually : My favourite Christmas film, love it from start to finish.
5. Hot Fuzz : Might be the funniest film I've ever watched, I can sit down and watch it anytime, if I see it on tv I'll happily watch it till it's over.

I know I cheated a bit with 5 but it was just because I really couldn't choose 1, these 5 here will regularly jump around positions :P
Be kind, have fun, and no regrets ;)

All good choices WL I can't fault it. Saying Wallace and Gromit is from your childhood makes me feel very old though
Try it. You might like it

Blade runner.
Any samurai movie by Akira Kurosawa.
The good the bad and the ugly.
